 The  Dominican Republic  is open for international travels but some restrictions are still in place. All international travelers are welcome to the Dominican Republic as all the airports are opened, but sea borders and land borders remain closed. Quarantine is not required  if you are going to visit the Dominican Republic.   COVID-19  test are not required anymore, anyone arriving will have to: submit a health declaration provide by the airline. The  public Transportation  is operating with some restrictions. Restaurants and cafes in Dominican Republic are open between 6:00 and 19:00 with some restriction, delivery may be open until 23:00.   Are you new in town, are you visiting us, even for Dominicans who don't live in Punta Cana is curious that most of the public transportation is run by our famous montoconcho, of course you can find buses that goes around Bavaro - Punta Cana but sometimes the waiting is long, in this post I'm gonna give some recommendation about the montoconchos. Motoconchos or motorbike taxis are the cheapest and are the fastest possibility for shorter distances in Punta Cana.  (U.S. $ 2 to U.S. $ 4 for most trips)  Note that after sunset the prices will double. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC IS OFFERING FREE INSURENCE FOR TOURIST

  As the curve on COVID-19 cases are going down the Dominican Republic has  recently announced a great plan to promote tourism on the island including free medical insurance for tourist and rapid COVID-19 breath tests. Good news Dominican Republic will be the first country in the world to utilize the rapid breathalyzer tests to detect COVID-19 upon arrival at the airport. Dominican Republic To Use Rapid Breathalyzer COVID-19 Test Starting in September 15, the rapid COVID-19 breath tests will eliminate the requirement for travelers of PCR test prior arrival to the Dominican Republic.
