DOMINICAN REPUBLIC IS OFFERING FREE INSURENCE FOR TOURIST

  As the curve on COVID-19 cases are going down the Dominican Republic has  recently announced a great plan to promote tourism on the island including free medical insurance for tourist and rapid COVID-19 breath tests. Good news Dominican Republic will be the first country in the world to utilize the rapid breathalyzer tests to detect COVID-19 upon arrival at the airport. Dominican Republic To Use Rapid Breathalyzer COVID-19 Test Starting in September 15, the rapid COVID-19 breath tests will eliminate the requirement for travelers of PCR test prior arrival to the Dominican Republic. The selection of passengers will be random and the COVID-19 rapid breathalyzer test which reportedly can provide results in less than 30 seconds with an 80% accuracy, so long lines and waiting wont be happening. The Dominican Republic has opened its air borders for international travels but some restrictions are still in place. All international travelers are welcome to the Dominican Republic as all the airports are opened, but sea borders and land borders remain closed. Quarantine is not required if you are going to visit the Dominican Republic.   COVID-19 test are required, anyone arriving will have to: Present negative PCR test result, no older than 5 days. submit a health declaration provide by the airline. The public Transportation is operating with some restrictions. Restaurants and cafes in Dominican Republic are open between 6:00 and 19:00 with some restriction, delivery may be open until 20:00. Curfew timing my depend on the location. In Punta Cana the Curfew on week days from 5:00 until 19:00 and on weekends from 5:00 until 17:00. La recuperación de la crisis turística  post COVID-19. Sin duda alguna sabemos que el mundo cambiará  después del COVID-19, pero cómo afectará esto al sector más afectado, el sector turístico. En algunos escenarios se han planteado que en 2021, estemos a un nivel muy parecido a  los de 2019, aunque yo personalmente  no lo creo. Que deben hacer los hoteles? Tienen tiempo para prepararse para las aperturas y marcar las pautas que van a seguir.
